The N.C. Cattle Industry Assessment was reinstated in 2009 to support five program areas of the cattle industry. These areas include research, youth, issues management, education, and promotion. The assessment is $1.00 per head each time cattle are sold within the state. The assessment is refundable by request. Please use the refund request form within 60 days of sale.
